Chairperson's Message

Chairperson's Message

On behalf of the Korea Fair Trade Commission, it is my great pleasure

and honor to cordially invite you to the

10th Seoul International Competition Forum on 13th September 2018, which will be held at the Shilla Hotel, Seoul, Korea.

The Seoul International Competition Forum was first held in 2001 and this year's Forum will be the 10th one. To date,

the Forum has served as an excellent venue for chief officials of each country's competition agencies, competition-policy experts from the OECD and other renowned international organizations, globally respected legal practitioners, academics, and many others in the

competition area to share their views on diverse and most recent issues on competition laws & policies.

This year, the Forum will discuss three global issues that are garnering global attention or emerging in the midst of technological development.

We will start by discussing

"Roles and Anti Competitiveness of Big Data in Digital Economy" in the morning session. The second session in the afternoon will be about "Implementation

of Civil Means for Competition Enforcement and their Efficiency",

which will be followed by discussions on "Algorithms and Competition Enforcement" in the third session.

Please grace the Forum with your presence. It will surely broaden our perspectives on competition law both academically and practically and help this Forum become an established venue for exchanging ideas among global competition experts.

Sincerely yours,

Sang-Jo Kim
